Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Train and manage outdoor adventure team
- Know all aspects and manage: high elements and low elements
- Understand and execute safety protocols for Camp Lurecrest
- High Elements include Climbing Wall, Leap of Faith, Giant’s Ladder, Zip Line, Crate Stack, and Vertical Playpen
- Low Elements include team-building and problem-solving challenges
QUALIFICATIONS
- Professing Christian that commits to follow the mission and vision of Camp Lurecrest Ministries
- First Aid & CPRO certification required; opportunity for certification during CLM Orientation
- Formal training and certifications in high ropes course management
- Formal training and certifications in low ropes and initiatives facilitation
- Member of Association for Challenge Course Technology [ACCT] [desired, but can be provided through the camp’s membership]
- Lifeguard and Waterfront certification preferred
- Able to complete job tasks while being attentive to camper experience and overall safety
- Respond with grace in high-stress situations
- Willing to teach and invest in campers
REQUIREMENTS
- At least one year out of high school with relevant experience
- Able to work on your feet, be outside all day, lift up to 50 lbs, and walk up to 5 miles in a day
- Signed agreement of CLM Summer Staff Handbook
- Successful completion of CLM Orientation Training
Program staff will operate under the camp guidelines for safety. By living, eating, and serving on-site, staff will model the values of CLM, as outlined in the Summer Staff Handbook and contract both on and off the job.
